Joe Torre, has seen over five decades of professional baseball as a player, manager, and now as MLB's Chief Baseball Officer, where he oversees MLB operations on and off the field, and is the primary liaison to the general managers of the 30 Major League clubs and umpires. He is known to as the former manager of the New York Yankees, who won four World Series during his tenure. Torre is the only player-manager to achieve 2,000 hits as a player and 2,000 wins as a manager, while adding an MVP award and nine All-Star appearances. For his many achievements, he was elected to the MLB Hall of Fame in 2014.
