Indigenous men drummed and chanted in front of the Army Corps of Engineers Building in downtown Washington, D.C. on October 12, 2021. Indigenous and allied activists delivered petitions with over 2 million signatures to the Corps, calling for the end of the expansion of the Line 3 Pipeline. The pipeline, which runs from Harditsy, Alberta, CA to Superior, WI, has spilled thousands of gallons of oil over the last 20 years. Oil pipelines that crisscross Indigenous land have also poisoned water sources and fields of wild rice.
