The memorial for the victims of the Oktoberfest bombing of September 26, 1980, stands near the site of the attack in Munich, Germany, on May 29, 2021. A bronze stele with engraved names and inscriptions honors the 13 people killed and over 200 injured in the deadliest terrorist attack in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany. Designed by Friedrich Koller and erected in 1981, the stele is surrounded by a rusted steel wall symbolizing the destruction caused.
