The Magyar Falu Program (Hungarian Village Program) logo at the village entrance is seen in Bukkzserc, Hungary on 9 April 2023 Bukkzserc is located 25 km from Eger along the southern border of the Bukk National Park. According to information from the Hungarian government the Village Program provides financial support for families, developing secondary roads, rescuing local shops, and developing municipal public services linked to building renovations, while ensuring schools, kindergartens and medical clinics continue to be located in villages. Small villages with a population of fewer than 5,000 inhabitants can apply for the program's funds in 14 development areas.
