Ahed, born in January 2001, gained notoriety on December 15, 2017, after she shoved, slapped and slapped an Israeli soldier in Nabi Salih, her home village in Cisjordania and occupied by Israel for more than 50 years. This incident occurred on the sidelines of protests against the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Hebrew state.Ahed Tamimi was arrested on 19 December 2017 by the Israeli military. Sentenced to eight months in jail, she was released on July 29, 2018.
