One man is killed and one boy is injured in a shooting in the Mount Eden section of Bronx, New York, United States, on January 3, 2025. On Friday afternoon at approximately 5:48 PM, police respond to 1491 Macombs Road. Upon arrival, officers observe an unidentified man with a gunshot wound to the left chest and a 17-year-old teenage boy with a gunshot wound to the right abdomen. EMS responds and transports the unidentified man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is pronounced dead. The 17-year-old boy is transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
