Fuerza Divina, Mexican wrestler, crosses himself prior to the presentation of Principe de Seda, wrestler and grandson of the legendary wrestler Huracan Ramirez, on the esplanade of the Xochimilco mayor's office in Mexico City, where he shared a ring with Pinocho, Hania, Halcon, Fuerza Divina, Legendario Jr., Hermano Muerte, Gitana, Histeria, among other fighters. The first wrestling performances in Mexico take place in the mid-19th century during the time of French intervention as foreign exhibitions. It is later, in 1863, when Enrique Ugartechea becomes known as the first Mexican wrestler and creates the foundations of what would become Mexican wrestling.
