A 22-year-old man is fatally shot in the head while sitting in a BMW vehicle at 1836 Cedar Avenue in Morris Heights, Bronx, New York, United States, on June 24, 2025. On Tuesday morning at approximately 4:33 AM, police respond to 1836 Cedar Avenue, within the confines of the 46 Precinct in the Morris Heights neighborhood of The Bronx. Upon arrival, officers observe a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS transports the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification. Bullet holes are visible on the car and window, with a large crime scene spanning several blocks.
