A health worker administers oral vaccine drops to a Kashmiri Muslim woman during a vaccination drive for Hajj pilgrims at the Hajj House in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 21, 2025. The total quota for Hajj pilgrims from India this year is 175,025. This includes 122,518 pilgrims arranged by the Hajj Committee of India and 52,507 pilgrims under the Combined Hajj Group Operators (CHGOs). Saudi Arabia increases the Indian quota by 10,000 to accommodate more pilgrims, following a request from the Indian government. Officials say that this year, 3,622 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir will perform the holiest Muslim pilgrimage of Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
