An adult male is originally listed in critical condition and later pronounced dead after being shot multiple times on the 1200 block of 12th Street Northwest in Washington, DC, United States, on August 11, 2025. DC fire and EMS respond with several ambulances and fire engines at approximately 7:01 PM, Monday evening, and at the scene while the Metropolitan Police Department tapes off the area. The man is transported to the hospital; however, life-saving efforts fail, and the man is pronounced dead. Over 15 evidence markers are placed at the scene as members of the DFS scene unit investigate. This is an active homicide investigation, and this fatal shooting comes only a few hours after President Trump's press conference on crime in Washington, DC.
