The Summit being held in a Latin American country for the first time gathers about 26 Nobel Peace Laureates and Nobel Peace Organisations, including: President Mikhail Gorbachev, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, President Shimon Peres, President Óscar Arias Sánchez, President Lech Walesa, President Jimmy Carter, President José Ramos-Horta, Dr. Shirin Ebadi, Lord David Trimble, Professor John Hume, President Kim Dae Yung, and other globally recognised leaders. During the Summit, we will present two acknowledgments to global figures who have made significant contributions to the construction of peace. In prior Summits, said acknowledgments were presented to individuals such as Bernardo Bertolucci, George Clooney, Bob Geldoff, Bono, Sean Penn, among others. After the Summit, Bogota will be designated as the City of Peace.
