A young nun pictured outside St. Mary's Basilica in Krakow. Declining number of vocations in Polish Catholic Church continues. As per October 1st 2014 figure, 586 people joined seminaries. In 2013, they were 589, and in 2012 - 664. A total of 2,851 seminarians was the number of students in diocesan seminaries at the end of September 2014, about 108 less than the year before and 881 fewer then five years ago, in 2009.
