A natural Indigo prepared from fresh leaves of True indigo (Indigofera tinctoriaL.) plant belonging to the Fabaceae family, also known as Neel in Sanskrit, Nilini, Ranjani, Graminia, Kalokeshi, Neelpushp, Madhupatrika by the natural fermentation process. This indigo is manufactured and cultivated in India from traditional productions in powder form that were once an important source of indigo dye up to the beginning of the 20th century. It is also directly used as a natural pigment for Paintings, decoration, fine arts, etc after homogenizing into the selected binder or medium. Ancient Egypt , Greece and Rome also knew about blue. Egyptian 18th Dynasty mummies were wrapped in blue paper. By the end of the 19th century, indigo cultivation was not economically viable, and farmers turned to paddy and jute cultivation. In the districts of Nadia, Jessore, Bogra, Rangpur, etc., indigo cultivation was widely done. In 1859-60, when the British indigo planters were forced to cultivate indigo through torture and oppression, the indigo growers started a massive movement against it, which is known as the Indigo Revolt or ''Nil bidroha''. This plant also has herbal properties. In modern Kaviraj treatment, indigo roots and leaves are used for various ailments. Leaf juice is beneficial for epilepsy. The fruit is a drupe (stonefruit) which is about 5 mm (0.20 in) in diameter. Black pepper is native to the Malabar Coast of India, and the Malabar pepper is extensively cultivated there and in other tropical regions. Ground, dried, and cooked peppercorns have been used since antiquity, both for flavor and as traditional medicine. Black pepper is the world's most traded spice and is one of the most common spices added to cuisines around the world. In early historic times, pepper became an important article of overland trade between India and Europe and often served as a medium of exchange; tributes were levied in pepper in ancient Greece and Rome. Black pepper (Piper nigrum) which is considered the ''King of spices'' is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit (the peppercorn), which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. The fruit is a drupe (stonefruit) which is about 5 mm (0.20 in) in diameter. Black pepper is native to the Malabar Coast of India, and the Malabar pepper is extensively cultivated there and in other tropical regions. Ground, dried, and cooked peppercorns have been used since antiquity, both for flavor and as traditional medicine. Black pepper is the world's most traded spice and is one of the most common spices added to cuisines around the world. In early historic times, pepper became an important article of overland trade between India and Europe and often served as a medium of exchange; tributes were levied in pepper in ancient Greece and Rome. Its spiciness is due to the chemical compound piperine, which is a different kind of spicy from the capsaicin characteristic of chili peppers. Black pepper is an important healthy food owing to its antioxidant, antimicrobial potential, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant and gastro-protective modules. It is ubiquitous in the Western world as a seasoning and is often paired with salt and available on dining tables in shakers or mills. A greenhouse is a building with transparent materials like plastics made of polycarbonate, plastic films made of polyethylene or glass panes to capture the light and heat of the sun and stay warm inside, even during the winter. In the daytime, sunlight shines into the greenhouse and warms the plants and air inside. Betel is a tropical plant so growing in the subtopic climate of India requires extra care and attention. So farmers grow it in a greenhouse where they can maintain humidity of 40-80% percent and temperature between 15oC and 40oC. Inside the enclosure, rows of thin bamboo or jute sticks are placed, usually a foot apart, each offering support to a single vine. As it grows, it is entwined on the stick. To keep the sand moist and maintain the inside temperature and humidity, farmers need to sprinkle water on betel leaf regularly, at least four times a day in the summer and twice a week in winter. The disadvantage of greenhouse farming is the lack of pollination due to the enclosed structure and over-expenses. Apart from betel, many banana saplings and herbs have been planted, and a farmer is looking after them in a torn greenhouse by storm at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi at Beldanga, West Bengal; India on 22/6/2023.
