The decorative silver orb spider, or Leucauge decorata, is currently residing in low vegetation or shrubs in shaded, often grassy areas. It is positioned about 30cm to 2m above the ground in a slanted web that is inclined at approximately 15-30 degrees from the horizontal in a moist environment. The female is staying on the web during the day. These spiders, with a body size of about 15mm without legs, are more than twice as long as their body length.
