Dec 04, 2015 - South Korea, Seoul : South Korean army soldiers carry remains of unknown South Korean soldiers, who were found in former battle field this year, during a joint ceremony to pray for the spirits of the departed during the Korean War, at the National Cemetery in Seoul, South Korea. Remains of hundreds of unknown war heroes who fell in the 1950-53 Korean War were enshrined at a national cemetery here Friday, with the government vowing efforts to identify and return them to their families. The 608 sets of remains of South Korean soldiers who fought in the war were enshrined together in the Seoul National Cemetery in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.
