Ararat Sargsyan (age 66) with his grand son Gor (age 4) inside a hotel room in Stepanakert. The Sargsyan family was evacuated from Talish, a village situated near the Karabkh-Azerbaijani border, during the first minutes of the conflict ('Four Day War'). They then arrived in Stepanokert on the 4th of April. They were all temporarily put into two rooms in Hotel Yerevan. Their house in Talish was partially destroyed as a result of the Azerbaijani attacks and bombing. Hay Sargsyan (age 36), the father of four children, was engaged with the NKR army on the day when Azerbaijani forces attacked Karabakh, and it was Ararat, his father, who saved the family. Firstly, with his wife Angin and daugther-in-law, they saved all four children, then Ararat returned to collect his mother, who could not understand why she needed to leave the house. They risked their lives, but the only thing they wanted was to save the four young children. The family joined the army forces and were evacuated from the village rapidly. Thursday, 19 May 2016, in Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia.
