WALHI environmental activists carry out the ''Don't Gas Asia'' campaign in front of Japanese Embassy and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) representative office in Jakarta, on Mayl 4, 2023. Various civil society organizations in Asia held demonstration simultaneously in 13 cities in Asia today such as Jakarta, Tokyo, Incheon, Mandaluyong, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Dhaka, Delhi, Kolkata, Kathmandu, Lahore, Karachi, and Colombo, to protest the increase in investment and construction of gas project in all regions of this continent with Japan and South Korea as the biggest ionvestors. This action is also intended to remaind the goverment to accelerate the transition towards clean, renewable, and equitable energy. This simultaneous actions were held as part of Asia-wide mobilization for a campaign called ''Don't Gas Asia'', and coincided with the 56th Asian Development Bank Board of Governors Annual Meeting which took place on 2-5 May 2023 in Incheon, South Korea.
