A British solder with 'English & Proud' tatoo seen at the official unveiling of the sound installation at the Bayeux War Cemetery. Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) launches today its new sound installation: Voices of Liberation, that will allow the public to listen to unheard stories from veterans and immerse themselves in accounts of the D-Day landings. The installation will be in the form of a memorial bench. Audio will be triggered when visitors sit on the bench - playing the recordings of those who were present on the battlefield, as well as the descendants of those who never made it home. On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in Bayeux, Normandy, France.
