A Ukrainian holds Pasha (Easter bread) and eggs as she attends the Holy Saturday traditional food blessing with Holy Water in St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine on Orthodox Easter Saturday - April 15, 2023. According to the tradition the faithful bring their Easter food in a basket to be purified, it always is Pasha, painted egg (pysanka) among other. Most of Ukrainians are Orthodox Christians or Greek Catholic Christians, both observe the eastern rite of Easter. Kyiv remains relatively peaceful as the Russian invasion continuous and Ukraine prepares for a spring counter-offensive to retake Ukrainian land occupied by Russia.
