The vigil was hosted by the Organization of Iranian American Communities, an ally of Mujahadeen-e-Khalq (People's Mujahadeen). Amini's death sparked widespread demonstrations across Iran, now in their sixth week. The protests are the most serious threat to the Islamic regime in decades.
