A man raises his placard with the text "Oust Du30" (Oust Duterte) joins a protest against the Anti-Terror Bill on June 12, 2020 at the University of the Philippines in Quezon City, Philippines. Despite warnings on possible mass gathering violations for joining protests, activists and members of progressive groups gathered during a mañanita-like protest to commemorate the 122nd year of Philippine Independence. The use of term “mañanita" came after Philippine high-ranking police director Major Gen. Debold Sinas celebrated a birthday mañanita last month when the region was still under stringent lockdown rules.
