A person holds a sign with the text ''Long Live Lebanon Jew 4 Intifada'' during a pro-Palestinian rally as part of an international day of action near the White House in Washington DC, USA, on October 5, 2024. Around 4 p.m., roughly 1,000 people march out of Lafayette Square and onto H Street NW by the intersection of Black Lives Matter Plaza and block the street. Some hold banners that read ''FREE PALESTINE'' and signs that demand an arms embargo on Israel, while others wave Palestinian flags. This demonstration is part of the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas-led attacks on Israel and the start of the devastating Israel-Hamas war.
