A photo taken in Chongqing, China, on January 28, 2024, shows workers at the Tuanjiecun Railway Central station in the Shapingba district. In 2023, the total number of China-Europe railway trains (Chengdu-Chongqing) exceeded 5,300, with a transport volume surpassing 430,000 TEU, the highest in China. Currently, the China-Europe Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) is operating nearly 50 routes, reaching 110 cities across Europe and Asia. The variety of goods transported has expanded from the initial pens and electronic products to over 10,000 types of items, including electronic products, vehicles and parts, communications and mechanical equipment, furniture and building materials, clothing, shoes and hats, chemicals, food, medicine, and medical equipment.
