A pro-choice activist is arrested while walking in front of anti-abortion counter-protesters at the conclusion of the Women's March for reproductive rights in Washington, DC. The march was the flagship event of a nationwide "Women's Wave" protest in hundreds of cities across the United States on October 8, 2022. The Women's March organized the demonstrations in response to the Supreme Court's Dobbs v. JWHO opinion, which overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the federal right to abortion access.
