A victim of microfinance institutions and loan-sharking takes part in a march in Kathmandu, Nepal, on December 22, 2025, demanding justice and relief from financial exploitation. The protest is jointly organized by the Land Rights Movement, the Nepal Microfinance and Financial Exploitation Struggle Committee, and the Nepal Farmers and Workers Movement Against Loan-Sharking. Organizers say the movement aims to draw the government's attention to the problems faced by people affected by microfinance-related debt and illegal interest practices, and to press for concrete policy and legal measures to address their grievances.
