Millions of Indonesians currently share a blue image with the text 'Emergency Warning' across various social media platforms. The 'Emergency Warning' movement goes viral after the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) begins discussing a revision to the Regional Election Law in response to two final decisions by the Constitutional Court. The two Constitutional Court rulings issued on August 20 eliminate the possibility of a ''blank box'' scenario in the 2024 regional elections and close the opportunity for President Jokowi's son, Kaesang Pangarep, who is nominated for the gubernatorial election. The DPR's decision sparks controversy, as it is seen as paving the way for Kaesang to advance in the regional elections.
