Protesters demand more resources from the French government to protect women threatened or beaten by their partner or a man in the family. They say that 65% of killed women come to the police to make a complaint, but police classify the complaints. They also ask the police to have better training to pay attention to these complaints. A French governmental body says that EUR1bn per year is necessary to tackle violence against women.
