During each Stampede, the five nations of Treaty 7--the Tsuu T'ina, Piikani, Stoney, Kainai, and Siksika--set up the Elbow River Camp along the riverbank in Stampede Park's southern section, where they erect tipis, host powwows, display traditional arts and crafts, offer cultural demonstrations, and share Indigenous foods, creating an immersive experience that honors their heritage and engages visitors with authentic elements of their traditional lifestyle.
