A symbolic exhibition of the burnt section of the Udichi office takes place following an arson attack carried out by miscreants in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on January 13, 2026. Udichi is founded on October 29, 1968, by the revolutionary litterateur Satyen Sen. Since its inception, Udichi commits to the struggle for a society based on rights, freedom, and equality. During the years 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1971, Udichi upholds the spirit of the Bengali people's overall liberation and organizes a vibrant cultural movement. This struggle spreads across the roads and villages of rural Bengal. In 1971, members of Udichi directly take part in the Liberation War. The organization continues to play a strong and active role in all democratic, anti-fundamentalist, and anti-imperialist movements in the country. At present, Udichi has more than three hundred branches across Bangladesh.
