One Man Killed And One Man Injured In Shooting Outside Glenmore Plaza Houses And Powell Playground Within Confines Of 73 Precinct

A 42-year-old man is fatally shot and a 41-year-old man is injured in a shooting outside the Glenmore Plaza Houses and inside Powell Playground in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, United States, on August 3, 2025, at approximately 12:35 AM. NYPD police officers respond to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 160 Glenmore Avenue, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, within the confines of the 73 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observe a 41-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and a 42-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his stomach. Both victims are transported by EMS to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. The 41-year-old male victim is in stable condition, and the 42-year-old male victim is pronounced deceased by hospital staff. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
