France faces another day of strikes and protests nearly two weeks after the president bypassed parliament to pass a pensions overhaul that is sparking turmoil in the country, with unions vowing no let-up in mass protests to get the government to back down. The day of action is the tenth such mobilisation since protests started in mid-January against the law, which includes raising the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Thousands of protesters marched again against the 'Global Security Law' bill promoted by French President Macron and his majority. Culture people and ravers joined the demonstration as a rave party organizers risk up to 10 years in jail for organizing a freeparty during New Eve. Culture people protest as theaters, cinemas, concerts hall are closed since months. The 'Global Security Law' bill will forbid anyone to photograph or film police members if not flouted : transgressors could be condemned up to one year in jail and a €45.000 fine. The bill also plans to generalize facial recognition in pubic spaces as in China. The French Rights Defender, the French National Commission on Human Rights (administrative bodies) and the UN Human Rights body condemn the bill as it will be a violation of internationals treaties signed and ratified by France, the Universal Human Rights Declaration, rule of law, etc. Toulouse. People have put placards on the ground. They read 'Griveaux.. All the same' and ' 'All political men are like Griveaux, they don't care about citizens'. Thousands of protesters demonstrated in Toulouse for the 10th demonstration called by nearly all trade unions (CGT, SUD, UNL, UNEF, FO, CFE-CGC, etc.). Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of the political party La France Insoumise was there and discussed with protesters. They demand the withdrawal of the new reform of retirement (age, pension, conditions, etc.). The National Assembly will vote on a change from a pay-as-you-go pension system to a system by points (capitalization). The French government also want an unification of all pension systems in France (except for policemen, military, congressmen, senators, ministers).
