Every 18th day of the month, Jaroslaw Kaczynski and leading MPs of the Law and Justice (PiS) party meet on Wawel Hill to commemorate President Lech Kaczynski. They lay wreaths at his grave, and then a holy mass is celebrated in the Wawel Cathedral for the intention of the deceased presidential couple.

Russian troops attack Kharkiv with three ballistic missiles at dawn on Friday, April 18. The missile attack injures 87 people, including six children. Seventeen people are admitted to local hospitals, including a four-year-old girl, a one-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl. Currently, three of the injured are in critical condition. One person dies.
