In the meeting, CPN-Maoist Center leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, proposes a special convention to elect new leadership, citing the current political context. Dahal also proposes to dissolve all party committees from the central to local level. Once approved, all existing party structures from the grassroots to the central level will be dissolved, and a General Convention Organizing Committee will be formed. The committee will be tasked with organizing the special general convention in December. Prachanda also proposes calling an emergency meeting of the Central Committee within a week to formally initiate the process. This comes in the wake of the Gen-Z revolution in the Himalayan Nation, which changes the political course where 74 people lose their lives when police use lethal force on protesting students.
