There, the value of the product is determined in real time, often through informal or organized auction processes. Beyond its commercial role, the fish market is a microcosm of labor. Tired bodies, hands cracked by salt, repetitive movements -- a daily reality invisible to most. It is a place where time is measured differently: not by clocks, but by crates being emptied and trucks pulling away.
