They are currently blessing the river as part of the festivities. Local villager and fishermen are seen on the banks of river Mahanadi near Mundali barrage as they are busy in the fishing works after fresh flood water releasing from the barrage just outskirts of the eastern Indian state Odisha's capital city Bhubaneswar. Mahanadi river's and Asia's biggest dam Hirakud open its 12 switch gates to release the flood water to downwards after heavy to heavy rain fall on its upper catchment area after a low pressure formatted in the Bay of Bengal Sea on India's eastern coast.
