In downtown Riode Janeiro, Brazil, on September 9, 2016 there is a region with dozens of bars, restaurants, concert halls known as Lapa. The nightlife and tourist is intense in the region and that there are many problems of theft, drug trafficking and fights. Since 2014 the site received the policing called Lapa Presente, in which police officers receive special training to act appropriately to the site. Every evening a temporary station is mounted in front of the Arcos da Lapa where police centered their work and from there depart for rounds in police cars, bicycles or walking through the area. Since its implementation nights at Lapa were safer, but with the worsening economic crisis in the state of Rio de Janeiro, there are risks of the project be discontinued.
