Crime scene unit investigators stage at the NYPD 107 precinct to collect evidence following the arrest of Jamel McGriff, who is suspected of killing an elderly couple and then setting their house on fire in a murder and arson attack in Queens, New York, United States, on September 11, 2025. Jamel McGriff spends several hours inside the home of Frank and Maureen Olton in the borough of Queens before burning it to the ground, say investigators. The NYPD says that it is a ''horrific double homicide, robbery and arson.'' The 42-year-old suspect has a lengthy criminal history and is released on probation in 2023, say officials.
