Canadian Sikh man wearing a T-shirt with the image of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale (a controversial figure in Indian history whom the Sikhs consider to be a great martyr and is regarded by others as a militant figure) in Malton, Ontario, Canada, on May 05, 2013. Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his followers initiated a movement for a separate Sikh state named 'Khalistan' after the 1984 storming of the Golden Temple by the Indian Armed Forces which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Sikhs.
