Capitol Police preventively separate counter-protesters from participants in the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. This year’s march is a celebration of the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade and the federal right to abortion access on June 24, 2022, in the Dobbs v. JWHO opinion. Roughly half the states have since banned or severely restricted access to abortion. Anti-abortion activists want to go further and called for Congress to pass a national abortion ban.
