Children aged seven to fourteen, in an area near the Shalamcheh border in southern Iran with Iraq, reenact the military operation for the liberation of Khorramshahr, which the Iraqi army occupied at the outset of the Iraq–Iran war in 1980. A group of Basij military personnel under the command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) plans and carries out the performance.
