A riot policeman stands guard during the protest. Opponents of the planned A69 highway gather in the Tarn department in Maurens-Scopont for a weekend of protests called 'Turboteuf' in the domain of the Maurens-Scopont castle. After protesters try to break into the work site to reach a bridge, riot policemen and protesters scuffle. Riot police use volleys of tear gas canisters. The decision of the Cour d'Appel Administrative (Administrative Court of Appeal) of Toulouse greenlights the resumption of leveling works on the A69 highway. The Administrative Court of Toulouse decides on February 27 to suspend all works on the A69 project highway between Toulouse and Castres. NGE/Atosca files an appeal against this decision and asks the Court to let the works continue during the time the appeal is judged. Two senators and two MPs from the Tarn department put to vote a retroactive law to authorize the building of the A69. They say they want to bypass the decision of the Administrative Court of Toulouse. Atosca says all leveling works have begun and that more than 70% of highway structures are completed. However, the leveling works and highway structure are not close to the numbers given by Atosca. Moreover, several problems plague the work, such as water evacuation and protection of species. The main association 'La Voie est Libre' (i.e., 'The Way is Free') wants the building of the highway to be stopped until all the justice decisions on the content are given. All expropriations for farmers are not cleared. Opponents of this project say that the reprofiling of the N126 will be sufficient for the 6,000 vehicles planned per day and would cost far less money. The A69 highway will cost EUR512 million (in 2018 euros without inflation) for 54 kilometers. More than 100 protected species and 400 hectares of agricultural fields will be destroyed. This takes place in Maurens-Scopont, Tarn, France, on July 6, 2025.

Policemen stand guard with worker from BTP company eiffagenear an oak occupied by a 'Ecureuil'. In the woods near Cuq-tToulza in the Tarn Departement on the planned A69, opponents to this project nicknamed the woods the 'Serwood forest that three people ('Ecureuils' ie 'squirrels') climbed on oaks to block their cutting for the building site. They were deprived of food, water and sleep by police during more than 36 hours. After the coming of the OPP (Police Practices Observatory), the support of opponents and a phone call to the Prefet by MP Karen Erodi, 'ecureuils' have been resupplied. A near-accident happened when a lumberjack let a tree fall on the rope connecting two 'ecureuils' and he knew what he was doing. Protesters decided to create a ZAD (Zone To Defend) in a farm 'La Cremade' nearby before being violently dislodged by 1200 gendarmes mobiles (riot police), two helicopters, 2 armored vehicles and a deluge of tear gas canisters. After the expulsion, protesters cleaned all the fields of tear gas canisters and drawed the symbol of the collective 'Les soulevements de la Terre' (ie Earth uprising'). Nearly 10 000 people participated to a week end of action called 'Ramdam sur le Macadam' in the Tarn department against the decried highway A69 between Toulouse and Castres. Several corteges took place and went to different places. Police tried at several moments to block the access to the camp at protestors even during the cortege. Several political parties, unions, ngos called to this week-end of protest. Gendarmes Mobiles stand guard to 'protect' the cutting of 'centenarian' trees for the A69 highway. As the public works to build the decried A69 highway between Toulouse and Castres continue, arborists-climbers occupied trees in three places: La Bourelie, La Prade and Bernazobre. Under heavy police protection, arborist climbers of 'La Bourelie' have been dislodged by police herlped by firefighters. Trees were cut immediatly after the arrest of the arborists-climbers. They wanted to protect the last trees the public works group NGE/Atosca hasn't already destroyed. Journalists aren't allowed to approach at less than 200m Environmentalists occupied three places (La Bourellie, La Prade and Bernazobre) where trees are cut by NGE/ATOSCA even if all justice procedures are not cleared. 'La Voie est Libre' (ie 'The Way is Free'), opponents and Thomas Brail want the building of the highway to be stopped until all the justice decisions on the content to be given.
