Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit collect evidence in evidence bags at the scene. The New York City Police Department investigates the discovery of remains within the confines of the 104 precinct in Queens, New York, United States, on August 6, 2025. On Wednesday morning at approximately 10:30 AM, a Department of Transportation worker finds remains that are skeletal in nature in a black garbage bag. The discovery is made along the Jackie Robinson Parkway, near Exit 1. Members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner remove the remains as the Crime Scene Unit and Anthropology team investigate. At this time, there are no arrests. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, and the remains will be studied to determine if they are human in nature.

NYPD crime scene unit investigators use an evidence marker and collect a garbage bag containing pieces of evidence in the courtyard area outside of 2295 Grand Concourse in Bronx, New York, United States, on July 23, 2025, where a woman is fatally stabbed multiple times inside the building within the confines of the 46th precinct on July 22, 2025. On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:51 PM, police officers respond to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside and find an unidentified woman unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to her body. EMS responds and transports the victim to BronxCare Health System, where she is pronounced dead. A person of interest is taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is withheld pending proper family notification.
