The sash of Master Sergeant David A. Cox's contains the names of battles fought by Marines. Cox is the assistant drum major for the US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, which plays at the weekly sunset parades hosted by the US Marine Corps Barracks Washington at the Lincoln Memorial. The Marines also present a military tattoo weekly at the Barracks through the summer.
