Construction workers continued to work on building projects in central Istanbul, Turkey, on May 19, 2020 as most of the city's 16 million residents stayed indoors on the final day of a four day curfew in major urban areas. Turkish cities have been using weekend lock downs to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, and while the measures have been partially successful, a about 1,000 new cases are recorded daily in the country.
