A man receives the measles vaccine as part of a free, mass vaccination campaign against the disease in the parking lot of the Estadio Olimpico Universitario in Mexico City, Mexico, on September 19, 2025. This vaccination campaign targets the population between six months and 49 years old. This campaign results from an alliance between the IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute), ISSSTE (National Institute of Statistics and Census), PEMEX personnel, and UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) to eradicate measles, a viral disease that the World Health Organization considers one of the leading causes of infant death worldwide.
