Demonstrators wave their arms as they shout, ''Degage'' (English: Get Out), while others hold up a giant banner bearing the effigy of Tunisian President Kais Saied that reads, ''Tyrant,'' during a protest held on the occasion of the 14th Anniversary of the flight of former Tunisian President and dictator Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, following the call for demonstrations issued by the Tunisian Network for Rights and Freedoms, in Tunis, Tunisia, on January 14, 2025, to call for the preservation of the gains of the Tunisian Revolution. They also protest against what they describe as the authoritarian drift of Tunisia's President Kais Saied, as well as against the assault on democracy, freedoms, and rights by the authorities. Following a popular uprising in Tunisia between December 2010 and January 2011, which is brutally repressed by the authorities, Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali is forced to flee the country on January 14, 2011. This date becomes the official commemoration of the Tunisian Revolution, called Revolution Day, which marks the start of the 'Arab Spring' and leads to major political changes in Tunisia. In 2021, the current president, Kais Saied, changes the date for commemorating the Revolution from January 14 to December 17.

Demonstrators wave their arms as they shout, ''DEGAGE'' (get out), during a demonstration organized by the Tunisian Network for Rights and Freedoms in Tunis, Tunisia, on September 22, 2024, to protest the draft amendment to the electoral law. Demonstrators contest the legitimacy of the upcoming presidential elections, scheduled to take place on October 6. They also protest against what they describe as violations of rights and freedoms by the regime, as well as against the populism, economic, social, and freedom policies of the outgoing president, Kais Saied, and his authoritarian rule. With less than three weeks to the vote and during the electoral period of the presidential elections, some thirty MPs submit a draft amendment to the electoral law to the Bureau of the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP), aiming to change a number of clauses in the aforementioned law, according to which presidential election candidates will only be able to submit their complaints against the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) to the Court of Appeal instead of the Administrative Court.

A house are seen demaged after abandoned by its owner for years due to the tidal flood in Timbulsloko village, Demak regency, Central Java province on June 7, 2023. Since the last 8 years, the villagers of Timbulsloko can no longer see land in their village, after the tidal waters have inundated the entire village. Rising sea levels and subsidence of the land surface have resulted in villages that were once fertile with plantations and rice fields, now surrounded by sea water which isolates the village due to a sunken access road. Boats are the only means of transportation that residents rely on to support their activities, such as going to work, market, or school.
