Mural in the Murugan Hindu Temple in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. This mural depicts the story of Goddess Valli who was startled by a wild elephant pleaded with an old man (Lord Murugan in disguise) to save her from the elephant. Murugan proposed to save her only if she agreed to marry him. In the heat of the moment, she agrees and he reveals his true form.
