SURAKARTA, INDONESIA - November 17 :Hundreds of people lined up to buy fuelin the petrol station in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, on November 17. Indonesia President, Joko Widodo announced that the price of petrol would rise 2,000 rupiah (16 US cents) to 8,500 a litre, a 30 percent rise, while diesel will raise 2,000 rupiah to 7,500 a litre, a 35 percent increase. The increase in fuel prices this as a goverment commitment to divert fuel subsidies to communities in need, namely the poor.
