Official data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that while Indonesia's open unemployment rate slightly decreases to 4.76 percent in February 2025 from 4.82 percent the previous year, the number of unemployed people still rises by 80,000 to 7.28 million due to the growing labor force. Youth unemployment remains high at 16.16 percent, the highest among all age groups.
