On 19 June, 2021, thousands of Turkish women from different cities gathered in Maltepe, Istanbul, to rally in support of the Istanbul Convention, a European treaty preventing and combating violence against women, from which the Turkish government withdrew in 2021. We Will Stop Femicides Platform's giant complaint letter written to the prosecutor's office was hung with the hashtag ''olmek istemyiorum (I don't want to die) '' in order to increase the visibility of the femicides and the reaction to the withdrawal from the Istanbul convention, Istanbul, Turkey on April 5 2021. Turkey 'Istanbul convention' was terminated on March 20, 2021.
